What I Offer


Most people at some point in their lives will come up against some kind of mental health problem, be it anxiety when public speaking, feeling over concerned about one’s health, feeling depressed about life events, or simply struggling to feel competent to deal with every day life.

I offer psychotherapy and advice for a wide range of conditions and problems, from the very mild to the severe.  We use both traditional Cognitive and Behavioural techniques, as well as more specialist CBT approaches, such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Schema Focused Therapy,Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Couples Therapy, and Life Coaching principles. We provide individualized therapy courses that takes into account evidenced based models, and client preference.

The conditions we treat include – Generalized Anxiety Disorder,  Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Attacks and Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety,  Agoraphobia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, Low Self – Esteem, Personality Disorders, Mild Psychotic Disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Pain and other Long Term Health Conditions.

I am also happy to provide simple focused work on assertiveness, problem solving and relationship difficulties, or helping individuals identify unhelpful patterns that keep being repeated in one’s life.

Most people, from my experience and according to the research tend to need between 5 and 20 sessions depending on the nature and severity of the problem.  I will also offer 1 to 4 session packages of assessment, formulation and self help plan.  The number of sessions can be negotiated as therapy progresses according to the individual client’s needs.
